Accessibility Statement.
This statement was last updated on 5 September 2025. We at New Brighton Creative Futures CIC are working to make our website hellonewbrighton.com accessible to people with disabilities.
What web accessibility is
An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.
Accessibility adjustments on this site
An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved through the system on which the site is operating and through assistive technologies.
We have adapted this site in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines and have made the site accessible to the level of AA. The site has been adapted to work with assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation. As part of this effort, we have:
Set the language of the site
Set the content order of the site’s pages
Defined clear heading structures across all pages
Added alternative text to images
Implemented colour combinations that meet required contrast ratios
Reduced the use of motion and animation where possible
Ensured all videos, audio, and files on the site are accessible
Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content
Some content on our site may depend on third-party services (for example, embedded social media feeds, maps, or donation platforms). These may not always meet the same accessibility standards. We are committed to reviewing and improving these integrations where possible.
Accessibility arrangements in the organisation
For our in-person projects and events, we aim to choose venues with step-free access and to make reasonable adjustments to support participation by people with disabilities. If you have specific access needs, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate them.
